Donut Christmas Tree

Ahh, who doesn't love a good donut? This fun treat is PERFECT for Christmas breakfast. or just a fun little snack to have out while you have guests over. Now, I know you're looking at this and thinking, this is WAY too hard, but TRUST ME... this is super easy, simple, and quick to put together!

What supplies/ingredients do I need?

What's super awesome about this treat, is that it doesn't take many ingredients. For the base of the tree, you will need a styrofoam cone. You can find these right at the dollar store in a variety of sizes. I got the smallest size that I could find, but I think that it would also be very cute to have one of each size!

The next thing that you will need is the donuts. You can either grab some donut holes. at your local grocery store or bakery, but I decided to pick up a 25-pack of Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts!

To "decorate" your tree you can use really anything that you'd like to. I used some fresh cranberries for a little pop of color and topped my tree with powdered sugar to mimic snow. Another thing that you could add is some fresh rosemary to resemble greenery.

For assembly, you will need toothpicks as well as saran wrap.

How do I do it?

You will start by wrapping your cone in saran wrap. Next, you will take your donut holes, and starting at the base of the cone, use a toothpick to insert your donuts into the cone, rounding your way to the top. Once you finish this, you can insert your berries/herbs using toothpicks. Finally, finish off your tree with some powdered sugar and enjoy!
