Faith Brackett is the CEO of the CHD Tablet Talk Foundation, author of the “Nellie and Ellie” children’s book series, a pageant queen, and a speaker who shares her messages globally to advocate, inspire, and encourage.
Faith graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and has experience working with school-aged children in grades K-12. She further served as the high school gifted and talented curriculum coordinator where she implemented the school’s first Honors Diploma Program which recognized sustained academic achievement of extraordinary distinction by encouraging students to take full advantage of the rich offerings provided by the school and community.
Faith was born with a rare congenital heart defect, or CHD, known as Hypo-Plastic Left Heart Syndrome. As a result, she has undergone eight major open-heart surgeries, many of which were cutting-edge. She was among the first to receive what is now known as the Bi-Ventricular Repair. Because of her experience, Faith has become a fierce advocate for CHD. She is a sought-after speaker and advocate who works closely alongside the American Heart Association, the Children’s Heart Foundation, It’s My Heart - New England, and several other health organizations. Fatih utilizes her social media platforms to share her experiences in hopes of helping others navigate their own CHD/health journeys and remove the stigmas associated with an invisible illness.
In 2020, Faith founded the CHD Tablet Talk Foundation, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit that keeps children with complex CHD connected and engaged while experiencing extended hospital stays by providing resources, education, support, tablets, connection, and mentorship. Because of her extensive volunteer work, Faith was awarded the 2020 Christenbury Award for outstanding community service. She is a two-time Gold Presidential Service Award Recipient with over 6,000 hours of community service.
Faith is no stranger to pageantry having held the titles of Ultimate International Ms. Maine 2023, USA National Miss Maine 2020, USA National Miss Pine Tree State 2021 having placed 1RU to the National Role Model Title. Through pageantry, Faith uses her voice to inspire a heart of service in others, to advocate for heart disease, to empower others impacted by CHD by letting them know they are not alone, and to encourage everyone to chase their dreams.
